2. Overview

Snake 2000 is a free game for iOS and Android. You don’t need an account, and we do not collect any personal data ourselves. The game is funded by ads served by Google AdMob. Google processes data in the course of this, as described below.

3. Data stored only on your device

Your high score and your settings (e.g. speed, sound, vibration, controls, design) are stored only locally on your device. They are not transmitted to us. If you delete the app, they are removed.

4. Advertising with Google AdMob

The app displays ads through the Google AdMob service. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”).

In particular, the following data may be processed:

  • Your device’s advertising ID (IDFA on iOS, advertising ID on Android)
  • IP address and the approximate location derived from it
  • Device type, operating system, language setting, app version
  • Information about the ads shown to you and your interactions with them (e.g. clicks)
  • Diagnostic and performance data of the ad SDK

Purpose: Serving and measuring ads, personalizing ads if you have consented, and preventing fraud.

Legal basis: Your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG for personalized advertising and for accessing information on your device. Without consent, Google only shows non-personalized or limited ads, to the extent permitted without consent.

Google may also transfer data to the USA. Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; standard contractual clauses also apply.

5. Consent and withdrawal

When you first start the app, Google’s consent dialog (User Messaging Platform) asks whether you agree to personalized ads. On iPhones, iOS additionally asks whether the app may “track your activity across other companies‘ apps and websites” (App Tracking Transparency).

You can change your choice at any time: in the app under Settings → Privacy, and on iOS also under Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Withdrawal applies to the future.

6. App stores

When you download the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play, Apple or Google process data under their own privacy policies. We have no influence over this.

7. Children

The app is not directed at children under 13.

8. Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15–21 GDPR), as well as the right to withdraw any consent you have given. Since we do not store any personal data ourselves, requests about advertising data should primarily be directed to Google; however, you can contact us at any time at andreas.alexander@andreasalexanderapps.com.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the authority in your country or state of residence.

9. Changes

We will update this policy when the app or the legal situation changes. The version published here applies.
